YOUR CUSTOMIZED TIMEPIECE

For years, the Alexander Shorokhoff Watch Manufactory has been designing and producing strictly limited editions and one-of-a-kind timepieces. The ultimate expression of this is the design and production of a skeleton watch featuring your initials on the dial.

First, we take note of the customerโ€™s specific design requests. Together with the customer, we discuss and select the style of the initials, the type of engraving, the extent of the skeletonization, and the finish for the dial and movement. We are also happy to accommodate the customerโ€™s preferences when it comes to selecting the material and designing the case and strap.

Once all components have been finalized, we begin production. Whether itโ€™s skeletonizing, guillochรฉ work, or engraving, all of these tasks require the utmost precision and concentration. An engraver at the Alexander Shorokhoff Manufacture spends many hoursโ€”often several daysโ€”carving out, so to speak, the โ€œsoulโ€ from the cold metal of the movement parts or the dial, which ultimately gives each model its exclusivity and makes it a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

After these production steps and the finishing process, assembly begins. Through meticulous, painstaking work, a handmade movement is crafted from over 100 parts. The attention to detail, the exquisite hand engravings, and the watchmaking expertise lend these watches their great aesthetic beauty. For certain components, such as cases, straps, and hands, we have selected renowned suppliers.

Every master watchmaker at the Alexander Shorokhoff Watch Manufactory is responsible for โ€œhisโ€ watches from start to finish. After a test run lasting several days, the watch is certified with the signature of the master watchmaker in charge. It takes about three months to develop the design, skeletonize, engrave, and finish the dial and movement, and finally assemble and test the watch.

Individual custom-made products in the form of your own dial design are also possible, as our cooperation with renowned and selected partners also enables us to produce small series.

The result is a clock that can not only measure time intervals; it is a handmade art object and a genuine family piece that can be passed down from generation to generation with pride and love.

The production of a one-off item as part of a private-label order requires additional development and manufacturing processes beyond the usual steps involved in mass production. First, a custom design must be created and finalized. The necessary components are then manufactured or specially ordered from suppliers.

The manufacture of individual parts often requires new tools or specialized production steps, the costs of which cannot be spread across a larger production run when producing a single unit. After manufacturing, the components must be assembled, inspected, and adjusted individually. For these reasons, the price of a custom-made private-label item is generally significantly higher than that of a comparable model from the regular collection. Please keep this in mind when making an inquiry or placing an order.
