Born of fire. Crafted as a work of art.

It is said that every year has its own spirit. Some are quiet, while others possess a power that changes everything. The year 2026 is accompanied by the Fire Horse—a creature that embodies freedom, courage, and boundless energy.

Alexander Shorokhoff first presented a horse motif on the occasion of his 30th anniversary. The one-of-a-kind model sold out immediately and generated exceptionally high demand. Now, designer Alexander Shorokhov has once again succeeded in capturing the powerful spirit of the Fire Horse and transforming it into a watch that is far more than just a timepiece. It is a work of art in the art of watchmaking—powerful, uncompromising, and full of vigor.

On the dial, the horse does not appear as a technical illustration, but rather like a powerful, spontaneous sketch by a great artist on a canvas. With just a few confident strokes, movement, dynamism, and elegance come to life. The motif is composed of numerous types and shades of mother-of-pearl. Each one captures the light differently, revealing a new facet of the horse with every movement of the wrist. No two moments are alike—just as fire never takes the same form.

Delicate lines deliberately divide the dial into five sections—symbolizing the five inhabited continents of our planet. At the same time, they speak to the universal significance of the horse. For regardless of culture, religion, or tradition, the horse is interpreted, admired, or revered in different ways.

In Europe, it has stood for freedom, strength, and courage for centuries. In America, it symbolizes independence, adventure, and boundless expanses. In Asia, it embodies energy, drive, and success. In other cultures, it is regarded as a sign of dignity, prosperity, or spiritual power. Thus, the horse connects people around the globe like no other animal. If you look more closely at the dial, you’ll even discover that the colored sectors correspond to the different continents—adding another layer to this extraordinary composition.

A work of art of this magnitude must never become a mass-produced item. That is why the first edition of “Fire Horse” is being produced in a strictly limited run of just 11 pieces. Yet even within this small series, no two watches are alike. The vibrant mother-of-pearl makes each dial a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

In addition, Alexander Shorokhov developed an extraordinary way of indicating the edition number: the specific edition number is integrated directly into the dial. On piece 1 of 11, the Arabic numeral 1 appears as the hour marker, while all other hours are represented by bars or triangles. For 2 of 11, the numeral 2 takes on this role—and the concept continues in this manner up to number 11. This gives each watch its own unique identity.

The hour markers also follow a harmonious color scheme. Within each of the five sectors, they share a uniform color that is precisely matched to the respective iridescence of the mother-of-pearl. This creates an extraordinary balance between structure and artistic freedom.

A very special surprise is hidden in the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. Its hand consists of two stylized horseshoes—one larger and one smaller. The designer drew inspiration from nature itself: the larger, rounder horseshoe represents the front hoof, while the smaller, slightly oval one represents the hind hoof—just like on a real horse. The delicate red tip precisely marks the passage of the seconds. This detail is as extraordinary as it is distinctive, uniquely underscoring the artistic character of this watch. Of course, Alexander Shorokhoff’s unmistakable signature elements remain: the characteristic 60 on the dial, the striking avant-garde hands, and the rotor artfully engraved in the Alexander Shorokhoff style.

The watch’s color-coordinated design is harmoniously complemented by the hour and minute hands as well as the strap. The leather strap is made of suede and feels soft yet rough, similar to horsehide. The straps were deliberately left unpolished to enhance this sense of naturalness.

Each Fire Horse does more than just tell the time. It tells a story—of art and craftsmanship, of cultures and continents, of freedom and imagination. And it reminds us that some legends need no words. Sometimes, a glance at your wrist is enough.
