A tailored maritime beauty

The second limited edition of the Newport series, the “Gent-Newport 2” was created after the unique sea coasts, but also to match the naval flair of the first American city of Newport. It has a beautiful coastline, a beautiful harbor and yacht club, many historic colonial buildings and industrial villas, Touro Park, the oldest American redwood library and much more. Therefore, according to IMDB, there are more than 100 movies, documentaries and television shows that recognize Newport, Rhode Island as a film location.

Accordingly, this model has been developed in a more artistic way and underlines the maritime theme of the port city. Here Alexander Shorokhoff shows a nice color palette, because he worked with 3 different colors: Red, implemented with rose gold; white, implemented with silver plating and blue, inspired by the navy. These are colors that can also be found on the American flag.

The dial is assembled from 3 parts: Small Square, large square, round dial. All three parts are connected to each other with feet. On the large square in the middle of the dial, which is coated with blue metallic, waves from the sea, sun and seagulls appear, just like in a painting. The small square containing the blued second hand is gold-plated. The rose gold hands and the ostrich leather strap perfectly match the theme. To emphasize its uniqueness, this version is limited to 10 pieces, of which only 5 are still available.
