The perfectly round case of this automatic watch is an innovation and an absolute first. With a diameter of just 25 mm, Alexander Shorokhoff has managed to make a real impression with this extraordinary piece.

The spherical shape is close to perfection – with no edges or corners, and no beginning or end. The latest successor to the ‘Shar’ wristwatch – which translates from Russian as ‘sphere’ – features a stunning pastel-yellow mother-of-pearl dial.

The case and the front crystal are combined to form a harmonious spherical shape. A single-screw construction was developed to join the case back and the case body without any additional edges or openings. The screw is situated in the centre of the case back, connects both parts in a watertight manner and is also hemispherical in shape, blending perfectly into the overall design. The sapphire crystal is precisely tailored to the spherical shape and blends almost seamlessly into the case.

The lugs are also made up of small balls and hold the strap securely to the watch by means of a bar. Both a steel bracelet and a leather strap can be used.

Inside the watch ticks the Swiss ETA 2671 automatic movement. The movement’s rotor has been intricately hand-engraved – as is customary with Alexander Shorokhoff.
